Infighting in the Arsenal locker room
The headline on the back page of the Sun read ‘Emirats’.
According to Neil Ashton, Arsenal players are turning on each other as the club appear to be imploding.
Brighton beat Arsenal 2-1 on Sunday. Arsenal’s defeat leaves them sixth in the Premier League, while their top four hopes are in tatters.
For the first time in Arsene Wenger’s career, the manager has lost four matches in a row.
Arsenal have lost eight matches in 2018.

Targets: Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan & Shkodran Mustafi
Sadly the Sun’s report fails to deliver any real details of the fighting.
Have players been getting physical with one another? Are they confronting each other in public?
Or are players simply stewing in silence, before leaking their thoughts to the media?
In a telling line in the Sun’s report, Neil Ashton noted:
Arsenal, once a secretive, covert operation, is a leaky bucket now.
When it comes to the individual players, it’s claimed that Mesut Ozil “is in the firing line after another disappearing act”.
Former Man United midfielder Henrik Mkhitaryan is under pressure for “failing to track runners”.
As Shkodran Mustafi, he is singled out “because he always passes the blame on to other players when Arsenal concede goals.”
Hector Bellerin dropped vs Brighton
The other nugget of information dropped by the Sun was the claim that Hector Bellerin only found out he was dropped vs Brighton two hours before kick-off.
For the record, many Arsenal fans supported Bellerin’s omission from the team.
The Spanish defender has come in for criticism this season for a series of poor performances. He’s also had issues with Arsenal Fan TV.
