Arsenal’s unbeaten run

Arsenal head into this weekend’s Premier League games on a nine-match unbeaten run.

The Gunners would lose their first two games of the season vs Chelsea and Manchester City.

Since then, however, Arsenal have improved game by game.

Arsenal would start their win streak with a 3-1 win over West Ham United.

Unai Emery’s side would then go on to pick up wins over Cardiff, Newcastle, Vorskla Poltava, Everton, Brentford, Watford and Qarabag.

Arsenal’s latest victory saw them smash Fulham 5-1 in the league.

This means Arsenal are now just two points off the top of the table.

‘I am not agreeing totally with the response of the supporters. I think we need to improve a lot’

Despite this, Unai Emery believes Arsenal need to improve a lot if they are to keep competing with the top sides.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s game with Leicester, Unai Emery stated:

“I am not agreeing totally with the response of the supporters. I think we need to improve a lot.

“The supporters can enjoy it with us but also we’re speaking with our reality every day. We need to improve because for example the match against Fulham was a very good result and a very good game for 90 minutes but in the first 45 minutes I thought we needed to do better.

“For me now, the most important thing is not to rush.

“Our target now is the same as in the first matches.

“After six matches winning in the Premier League, it hasn’t changed. [We need] this calm because we [beat] a lot of opposition teams with very [poor] performances.

“We need to stay with the best teams in the Premier League. To stay with them, we need to do better and get better at different things.”
