According to reports in the Netherlands, Premier League giants Arsenal are readying a January offer for PSV winger Hirving Lozano.
Lozano, a 22-year-old Mexican international winger, only joined Eredivisie outfit PSV Eindhoven from Pachuca this summer, but has already made a big impression in Holland.
Despite playing out wide, Lozano, known more commonly as ‘Chucky’, has racked up 6 goals and 2 assists in 6 appearances in the Dutch top-flight.
He has earned rave reviews from the country’s press, with many already tipping the youngster for a bright future at one of Europe’s top clubs.
And, as per reports stemming from Holland today, this top club could come in the form of Arsenal, who are said to be expressing a serious interest in bringing Lozano to London in January.
It is claimed that Gunners chief scout Steve Rowley has already attended a number of PSV’s fixtures this season, with ‘Chucky’ the subject of his focus.
And a January offer of 24 million Euro is now being touted on the part of the North London outfit, with the club preparing for the expected departure of Alexis Sanchez next summer.
On the way out
Sanchez’s contract with the Gunners is due to expire next year, meaning he will be free to negotiate with other clubs at the turn of the year.
All of Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, PSG, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are expected to reach out to the Chilean attacker, who is rumoured to have grown weary with the lack of progress being made by Arsene Wenger’s men over recent seasons.
