Paul Pogba after 2nd goal vs Man City

Arsenal, Man United & Man City stars nominated for Premier League Player of the Month

The nominees for April’s Premier League Player of the Month have been announced this evening, with inclusions from 4 of the English top-flight’s top 6 clubs.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah picked up the prize last month, with the Egyptian having dominated the award to this point in the campaign (3 wins).

However, the Reds’ sensation has not even been included in the nominees for the April award, with standout performers from some of the Premier League’s smaller clubs having been rewarded for their exploits last month.

7 stars

The players in question are West Bromwich Albion midfielder Jake Livermore, who helped his side to a pair of wins and a pair of draws in their 4 league outings in April, and Crystal Palace star man Wilfried Zaha, who racked up 4 goals and an assist in guiding the Eagles away from the Premier League relegation zone.

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is also included, having kept clean sheets in 3 of his 4 outings, with another Englishman, in the form of Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, also up for the award.

The final trio of names all come from the Premier League’s top 6, with Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, and Tottenham standout Christian Eriksen rounding out the nominees:
