Arsenal vs Man United vs Leicester

Lemina’s omission comes days after the midfielder openly discussed leaving Southampton in an interview with Foot Mercato.

Now 25, Lemina is under contract with Southampton until 2022.

Speaking about departing St. Mary’s, Lemina said:

Today, I am at Southampton, I still have another three years of contract. But it is true that I do not rule out the possibility of seeing something else.

We are in agreement. If I don’t feel good in this project, I can leave. Otherwise, the club is counting on me, there is no problem.

On Tuesday, the Daily Echo have claimed that Arsenal, Manchester United and Leicester have all made “enquiries” about Lemina.

What does “enquiries” mean?

Have Arsenal, Man United or Leicester actually tabled an offer to sign Lemina?

The Daily Echo suggest that that has happened, as readers are told:

All three have fallen short of Saints’  valuation.

The Daily Echo understands that the St Mary’s outfit are looking to recoup the £15m they paid Juventus when they signed Lemina in 2017.

The Daily Mail add that Atalanta are considering a move to sign Lemina this summer.
