Bryan Cristante

Arsenal, Liverpool & West Ham battle over Italian midfielder

As per a report from Italian outlet Tuttosport this afternoon, a number of Premier League sides are ready to rival Juventus over the signing of Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante.

Cristante, a 23-year-old Italian international, has spent the early years of his career bouncing from club to club.

After coming up through the youth ranks of AC Milan, Cristante made a surprise move to Portuguese giants Benfica in the summer of 2014 for around 5 million Euro.

However, he has since been loaned out on 3 occasions, first to Palermo, then to Pescara, and, most recently, to Atalanta.

And it is in Bergamo that Cristante has finally begun to flourish into the type of player that many had predicted he would become during his teenage years, with the all-action midfielder having proven absolutely crucial to the fortunes of the Orobici to this point in the campaign.

Cristante has found the net on 10 occasions across all competitions, with his brace versus Everton in the group stages of the Europa League back in November having alerted a number of English clubs.

And, as per the aforementioned report from Tuttosport, all of Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham United and Watford are ready to battle it out for the once-capped Azzurri star come the summer.

Atalanta are expected to activate their 4 million Euro option to buy on Cristante in June, with rumours suggesting that La Dea would be prepared to immediately part with the Rossoneri youth product, if a sizeable offer is to arrive.

Serie A giants Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli have also all been linked with respective moves for Cristante, with early reports suggesting that a fee of around 30 million Euro could be required to secure a deal.
