Liverpool 0 – Stoke City 0
Liverpool were held to a shock 0-0 draw at Anfield by Stoke City on Saturday.
For the second weekend in a row in the Premier League, Liverpool have blown it.
Last weekend at West Brom, Jurgen Klopp watched his team let a 2-goal lead slip in a 2-2 draw against the Baggies.
This weekend against Stoke, Liverpool failed to find the target against the relegation-threatened Potters.
Swansea 0 – Chelsea 1
The late match on Saturday night in the Premier League saw Chelsea win 1-0 at Swansea.
Cesc Fabregas scored the only goal on the game in Wales as the race for the top four heated up considerably.
Chelsea’s win has lifted them up to 66 points. The Blues are just two points behind Tottenham and six points behind Liverpool.
Chelsea take on Liverpool next weekend at Stamford Bridge in a massive match.
Arsenal & Tottenham
Spurs fans are now starting to sweat.
There’s a scenario looming behind the scenes which could see Tottenham finish fourth in the Premier League and still not qualify for the Champions League next season.
Arsenal, of course, will play Champions League football next season if they win the Europa League.
Liverpool could yet secure their place in next season’s Champions League if Klopp’s charges can lift this season’s UCL trophy.
But what happened if Arsenal do win the Europa League, Liverpool win the Champions League, while Liverpool finish fifth as Chelsea worm they way into the top four?
In that situation, Tottenham, if they finished fourth, would miss out on a Champions League berth.
Of course, this situation could also affect Chelsea if they finish fourth and Spurs end in third.
If liverpool finish 5th and win CL and arsenal win EL does 4th get CL place?

No, but victims cant finish 5th. Chavs have to score a huge number of goals for the victims to finish lower than 4th.

Written with the assumption Spurs take third and the Chavs sneak into fourth, of course 😏
