Brighton & Hove Albion star Yves Bissouma this evening sent a farewell message to Ben White, on the back of the stopper’s Arsenal switch being made official.

Arteta’s latest addition

The headlines news on the red half of North London on Friday of course came in the form of White’s long-awaited arrival.

On the back of weeks of rampant speculation, the Gunners finally confirmed that the highly-regarded defender has put pen to paper on a ‘long-term’ contract with the club.

White, understood to have set Arsenal back a fee of around 50 million pounds, though, is unlikely to mark the final arrival at the Emirates this summer.

This comes with Mikel Arteta and co. known to remain firmly on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park.

Both an attack-minded midfielder and deep-lying partner for Thomas Partey are being sought, as the Gunners’ efforts to build a squad capable of mounting a concerted top-4 challenge continue.

‘All the best’

And, as outlined above, one such midfielder hotly tipped for a move to the English capital across the summer to date has this evening responded to White’s Arsenal switch being made official.

The player in question? Yves Bissouma.

Brighton standout Bissouma is of course fresh off the back of another stellar campaign at the Amex, which saw the Malian patrol the Seagulls’ midfield with equal poise and tenacity.

In turn, it has come as little surprise to hear it suggested that Bissouma is viewed as a potentially ideal addition to Mikel Arteta’s ranks.

News of teammate White’s move to the Emirates coming to fruition earlier today therefore no doubt proved altogether bittersweet for the 24-year-old.

Nevertheless, as outlined above, Bissouma was sure to send a message of congratulations to his now ex-Brighton partner, taking to Instagram to post the following:

‘Ben White all the best for you bro’:
