No easy task
Arsenal will be coming up against feared Tottenham striker Harry Kane this weekend in the North London derby but one man has suggested how to stop him.
The quality of the English striker was once questioned following his first breakthrough season, cast away as a one-season wonder.
Though, Kane has went on to prove every doubter wrong and is now considered the best out-and-out striker in world football.
That will not fill Arsenal fans with much optimism ahead of this weekend’s North London derby with the side needing to stop him to have any chance of winning. ]
Now, Gunners legend Martin Keown has been speaking about Kane and how Arsenal can stop him scoring.
“How do Arsenal deal with Harry Kane? Do they need a defensive midfielder man-marking him out of the game?” he questioned in his Mail column.
“I don’t think you can man-mark Kane, but you have to pay him special attention when the ball is in and around the box.
“I cannot believe how easy it has been for Kane to score some of his goals recently, finding the net with tap-ins from corners. How can defenders be giving him that much space?
“Kane will find space when he needs to but he is drifting into areas and the defenders are switching off.
“Arsenal play a zonal defensive system but there is room for adjustment. Kane needs to be marked from set-pieces and Arsenal have to put their best marker on him.”
