Arsenal Legends vs. Milan Glorie

In aid of the Arsenal Foundation, Arsenal Legend’s took on Milan Glorie at the Emirates Stadium today.

The game saw some of the great players from Arsenal’s and AC Milan’s past, come together in order to raise money for a good cause.

Arsene Wenger and Fabio Capello were the two managers in either dugout and the teams lined up as follows:

Arsenal Legends:

Seaman, Hoyte, Toure, Keown, Winterburn, Parlour, Petit, Gilberto, Overmars, Pires, Ljungberg

Milan Glorie:

Abbiati, Cafu, Desailly, Costacurta, Favalli, Boban, Albertini, Ambrosini, Serginho, Di Canio, Vieri

However, it was an Arsenal substitute who performed the best out of the lot. Kanu, who played for Arsenal from 1999 till 2004, came off the bench to score a hat-trick, just like he had predicted he would before the game had started.

Arsenal Legends won the game 4-2 in the end and the other goals came from Milan’s Christian Vieri (2) and Arsenal’s Robert Pires.

Kanu predicts his own future

Kanu’s prediction of a hat-trick before the game was most likely a joke. However, the striker looked like he meant business today as he kept to his word.

He scored 3 goals in an Arsenal shirt today and many fans will be thinking ‘I wish this guy still played up top for Arsenal, instead of Giroud’.

After the game, Kanu was quick to point out that he kept to his word as he featured in a funny video on Arsenal’s official Twitter.
