Arsenal have joined the race for Everton’s wantaway star Ross Barkley as clubs such as Manchester United and Tottenham wait in the wings with interest.
The Englishman only has 12 months left on his current contract and his reluctance to sign a new deal speaks volumes over his future.
Barkley has slightly fallen out with Ronald Koeman after the Dutchman questioned him at the beginning of the season.
Now, that could prove pivotal with the player supposedly asking for a big wage to remain at the club.
There have also been suggestions that the player has asked to be Tottenham’s top earner but that has since been quashed.
Now, Arsenal have joined the race for the player and could steal a march on their North London rivals.
Recent reports have suggested that Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho may test the waters with a move.
I like Ross Barkley but he's jibbed £100k a week to play for his boyhood club because he thinks the manager works him too hard.
