Arsenal are set to be handed two defensive boosts with the return of both Laurent Koscielny and Konstantinos Mavropanos from injury.
Koscielny has been sidelined since last season’s Europa League semi-final having ruptured his Achilles tendon.
Meanwhile, Mavropanos is recovering from a groin injury.
Both players are now expected to return to action at the end of the month.
Koscielny integrated back to first-team training
2018 has been a nightmare year for Koscielny as he watched France lift the World Cup.
The defender has been sidelined since May after rupturing his Achilles.
He has also missed the start of Unai Emery’s reign at the Emirates with Petr Cech taking his captaincy.
The Gunners have struggled to juggle defensive injuries this season and Koscielny will be hugely welcomed.
The 33-year-old is currently being lightly integrated back into first-team training ahead of his return to action at the end of November.
Mavropanos continues recovery ahead of November returned
Mavropanos is continuing his return from a hamstring injury which has kept him out since the start of September.
The Greek defender is yet to feature for Arsenal this season.
Emery’s back-line has been plagued by injury with Sead Kolsinaic, Nacho Monreal, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos all missing games.
Despite these defensive setbacks, Emery’s side have still managed to impress this campaign.
With Koscielny and Mavropanos set to return, Arsenal’s form will only go from strength to strength.
