Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette aiming for return against Sheffield United – Sky

Sheffield United vs Arsenal

Arsenal’s first game back after the international break sees them take on Sheffield United.

The Gunners will travel to Bramall Lane on Monday the 21st of October.

Unai Emery’s side are currently 3rd in the English top-flight.

Arsenal have amassed 15 points from their opening eight games, and have lost just one league game this season.

As for Sheffield United, they are 13th in the Premier League with nine points.

Arsenal’s last outing saw them beat Bournemouth 1-0 at the Emirates.

Lacazette to return?

One player missing from Arsenal’s most recent triumph over Bournemouth was Alexandre Lacazette.

The Frenchman has been out of action since September 1st, when he was brought off 67 minutes into Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with bitter rivals Tottenham.

With Lacazette out, a lot of Arsenal’s attacking workload has fallen on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe.

Gabriel Martinelli has also stepped up for Arsenal to help fill the void left by Lacazette.

The 18-year-old started up top in Arsenal’s wins over Nottingham Forest and Standard Liege.

But with Pepe having not quite found his feet in England just yet, Unai Emery will be glad to have Lacazette back amongst his ranks.

And, according to Sky Sports News, Lacazette is aiming for a return against Sheffield United.
