Arsenal fans get excited about Reiss Nelson’s performance for England U21

Reiss Nelson was in action for England’s under 21’s on Thursday evening as they took on Andorra in a qualification match.

England vs Andorra

Nelson did not start the match for England vs Andorra, but that did not stop England getting off to a great start.

Everton’s Andre Lookman would open the scoring inside nine minutes for the young Lions.

Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Konsa would then make it 3-0 to England before half-time.

Calvert-Lewin would then grab his second and England’s 4th in the 49th minute from the penalty spot.

Arsenal fans react to Nelson

Nelson is a product of Arsenal’s youth system.

However, he has never quite been able to break into their first side.

The 18-year-old has played 38 games for Arsenal’s under 23 side, in which he has scored 17 and assisted 11.

Nelson has also made 16 first team appearances for Arsenal but has yet to hold down a regular starting place.

As a result, Nelson was loaned out to Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim for the 2018/19 season.

Now, however, after his display for England’s under 21’s, Arsenal fans are calling for Nelson to get back into the Gunners main squad.
