Arsenal dealt Sead Kolasinac injury blow vs Man City

Arsenal vs Man City

Arsenal played host to Manchester City in Sunday’s late Premier League kick-off.

The Gunners headed into the tie 9th in the Premier League, with just one win in their last five league outings.

And that win only came against a very poor West Ham side.

As for Man City, they kicked off at the Emirates a staggering 17 points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.

The Gunners did not have a great record against Man City in recent times, with Arsenal having lost their last four league matches against the Citizens.

And that record looks set to continue on Sunday as well.

As of writing, the Sky Blues are 3-0 up against the north London outfit.

Arsenal would cause Man City one or two problems in the opening exchanges, but their high pressing allowed City to expose their poor defence.

Kevin De Bruyne would have a particularly impressive first 45 vs Freddie Ljungberg’s side.

The Belgian opened the scoring less than two minutes in at the Emirates with a thunderbolt of a strike.

KDB then assisted Raheem Sterling for City’s second of the day, before adding his second five minutes before the interval.

Kolasinac injured

As well as taking a hammering in the first-half, Arsenal were dealt another blow.

Sead Kolasinac started at left-back vs Man City in place of Kieran Tierney. who is expected to be out for around three months.

But Arsenal’s left-back problems took another huge hit vs Pep Guardiola’s side, as Kolasinac was forced off 41 minutes into Sunday’s game.
