Arsene Wenger celebrates v Manchester City

Arsenal consider move for PSG star amid rumours of potential move

Long-term target

Arsenal are considering whether or not to make a bid for Paris Saint Germain star Julian Draxler after it was reported he had been transfer listed.

The German star joined the club only last summer and impressed at times in his debut season for the French giants.

Though, the arrival of Neymar from Barcelona has no doubt had an effect on him and is supposedly surplus to requirements after his arrival.

That will have stunned some of the clubs around Europe who seen the German impress on several occasions in Paris.

Arsenal are one club that are said to be considering moving for the player according to the Times and could well add some talent to their attack.

The club were originally linked with a move for Thomas Lemar but that deal has now been drawn out and other clubs have become a possibility for the winger.

That could mean that Arsenal reignites their long standing interest in Draxler, but it is not entirely sure how much the player would cost Arsene Wenger’s side.

PSG signed the player for around £35m from Wolfsburg last season and could look to still make a profit on the player.

Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested in the player too, with the latter looking to replace the outbound Ousmane Dembele.

Outbound Arsenal star

Arsenal defender Gabriel is set to leave the club in the coming days after a bid was accepted for the player.

The bid came from Spanish outfit Valencia who are looking to replace Manchester City’s Mangala who has returned to the club after a loan spell.

That has left them scouring Europe for a replacement and they have seemingly found that in Gabriel.

The Brazilian will now likely leave the club shortly and Arsenal may look to replace him.
