Arsenal with a free run at Dembele
Arsenal may now have a free run at signing Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele after Liverpool dropped out of the race to sign him.
There have been many reports on Dembele’s future over the past few weeks.
The player only joined Barcelona in the summer of 2017 after forcing through a move from Borussia Dortmund.
Since then, he’s struggled with injury and also with form when he has been given the chance to impress.
Now, the player has reportedly started causing issues with his attitude too.
That has lead to suggestions that he could leave the club and both Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with moves in the past.
Whether he would be available is another question, but Liverpool will not be signing the player.
That is according to the latest reports that explain why the Reds won’t be moving for the player.
Liverpool not keen on Dembele move
The Mirror have explained on Wednesday evening that Liverpool ‘have no interest in a big money January move for Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.’
They go on to explain that Jurgen Klopp and the club are happy with their attacking options.
They already have Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah as their forward options.
Not only that, summer signing Xherdan Shaqiri has impressed since his arrival.
He provides the backup firepower needed for Liverpool to compete on all fronts this season.
The club also have Daniel Sturridge waiting in the wings if they need some extra firepower.
With that in mind, it is unlikely that Liverpool will make a move for Dembele in the January window.
