Juan Carlos Osorio, the manager of the Mexican national team, has this evening revealed his opinion that El Tri winger Hirving Lozano is ready to make the move to England.
Lozano, an explosive 22-year-old wide-man, only joined Eredivisie outfit PSV from Pachuca last summer, but has already made a big impression in Holland.
Despite playing out wide, Lozano, known more commonly as ‘Chucky’, racked up 10 goals and 3 assists in his first 12 appearances in the Dutch top-flight, eventually finishing the season with 19 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
He has earned rave reviews from the press in the Netherlands, with many already tipping the youngster for a bright future at one of Europe’s top clubs.
The two sides most heavily linked with a move for Lozano to this point have been Arsenal and Barcelona, with the player himself having admitted during an interview with Marca last year that he has set his sights on a move to the Camp Nou.
When questioned on which player he would most like to line out alongside, ‘Chucky’ revealed:
‘With Messi, he is a great player. For me he is a phenomenon.’
Marca: ‘For that to happen, you would have to sign for Barcelona.’
Lozano: ‘Hopefully, God willing, we will see.’
‘The tools to play in the PL’
Lozano’s future has come under heavy discussion once again over the last 24 hours, after the PSV star’s match-winning performance during Mexico’s shock 1-0 victory over Germany yesterday afternoon.

And, speaking in an interview with Sky Sports News earlier today, Lozano’s international manager, Juan Carlos Osorio, revealed his opinion that his side’s star winger is more than ready to make the jump up in quality at club level from the Eredivisie to ‘any league’ in the world, pinpointing the Premier League as an ideal destination:
‘I think Hirving, since he moved to PSV Eindhoven, I think he has made the next step up. He’s an unbelievable prospect.’
‘His pace, his ability to take people on makes me believe that he is a player that will go very far, hopefully he can show that in the next game.’
‘I just think that whoever takes a chance on him will do well. His pace and again his ability to take people on, he can play in any league and any place.’
‘I think he will be able to – and he has the tools to play – in the Premier League.’
