Arsenal 2019-20: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Alexandre Lacazette updates
Arsenal 2019-20
Arsenal will begin the 2019-20 season much like 2018-19 began.
The Gunners finished outside the Premier League top four for the third season in a row last term.
By finishing fifth, and losing the Europa League final to Chelsea, Arsenal confirmed they’ll be playing Europa League football on Thursday nights once again.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Alexandre Lacazette
Arsenal fans may also be worrying about the future of strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
Aubameyang and Lacazette scored a combined 50 goals in all competitions for Arsenal last season.
Moreover, Aubameyang was the joint-top goalscorer in the Premier League with 22 goals.
The Times reported on Thursday that Aubameyang is now a target for two Chinese Super League clubs.

As may be expected, the Times claimed Aubameyang could receive a big pay hike if he moves to China. He could agree a 300,000 pounds a week salary.
As for Lacazette, rumours keep swirling about that he could join Barcelona this summer.
Aubameyang & Lacazette updates
Times reporter Gary Jacob has posted an update on Aubameyang on Thursday afternoon.
In a key point for Arsenal fans, it’s reported that:
There is no suggestion that Arsenal want to sell. But every player has their price and for some a big bid would be a chance to rebuild with money that Arsenal lack from missing out on the Champions League.
Another factor to consider is his age: Aubameyang turns 30 in two weeks.

The Evening Standard’s James Olley has posted an update on Lacazette:
Talks are also due to take place with Lacazette and his representatives over his situation, with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid both keeping tabs on the French forward as a possible alternative to Antoine Griezmann.
Arsenal are determined to reject interest from China in Aubameyang. No indication at this stage the player wants to try and force through a move. Got 2 years left on his current deal- Gunners keen to extend. https://t.co/CwI1Z0v9Fa

I’d sell Aubameyang. He’s been great but money is tight and if some Chinese club is willing to pay £60m+, I’d entertain it. Really can’t be bothered with a new contract saga either. Only concern is that we’d blow the money on trash like Meunier and Banega. Prefer we buy young.

I love Aubameyang but if some Chinese club wants to pay £100m and give him £600k pw, then thanks a lot.

We shouldn't sell Aubameyang
We shouldn't sell Lacazette
Just do a better job at selling the shite players, like Liverpool do— Bergkamp & Bergkamp (@Orangeiceman10) June 4, 2019
I think we'd really regret it if we sold Aubameyang and kept Lacazette. It's a tough one because Auba is older but we'd have so few goals in our team. It's easier to build around Auba than it is Lacazette as well because he literally just needs half decent service to score 30+.
