Details: Antonio Rudiger ‘dismissed’ from Chelsea training by Thomas Tuchel following Kepa bust-up

The fallout from Chelsea’s shock defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday has since spilled onto the club’s training ground, according to reports.

Baggies run riot

Thomas Tuchel’s men were of course back in action yesterday afternoon.

In their first outing on the back of the international break, the Blues welcomed relegation-battling West Brom to Stamford Bridge, for a Premier League showdown.

Chelsea headed into proceedings as overwhelming favourites to bag all 3 points, having looked a side reborn since Tuchel’s arrival on the club’s bench back in January.

When all was said and done in west London a little over 24 hours ago, though, to say that the hosts were brought back down to earth would be putting it lightly.

A remarkable 90 minutes of action eventually saw West Brom emerge on the right side of a shock 5-2 scoreline.

After Chelsea took the lead through Christian Pulisic inside half an hour, goals from all of Matheus Pereira (2), Callum Robinson (2) and Mbaye Diagne turned the clash completely on its head, as Sam Allardyce’s Baggies secured just their 4th win of the Premier League season.

Rudiger loses his cool

Chelsea’s damaging defeat means that the Blues could now finish the gameweek outside the Premier League’s top-4, with West Ham, who boast a game in hand, set to take on Wolves on Monday night.

And, as outlined above, if the latest word stemming from the media regarding ongoings in the capital is anything to by, it appears that the fallout from what could prove to be a hugely costly dropped 3 points has not yet come to a close.

This comes amid claims of a major bust-up at Chelsea’s training ground this afternoon.

As per the reliable Matt Law of the Telegraph, an incident between Antonio Rudiger and Kepa Arrizabalaga eventually left Thomas Tuchel with little choice but to dismiss the former from the session.

Rudiger is said to have been responsible for a late challenge on his shot-stopper teammate, which left Kepa angered.

In turn, the pair exchanged words, along with some pushing and shoving, with Rudiger’s failure to calm down having resulted in the German being sent back inside early.

This comes after Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta were also involved in a heated back and forth on the back of the full-time whistle yesterday afternoon.
