Could Lukaku be on his way out of Old Trafford?
Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will reportedly make a move for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku when he’s appointed Inter Milan manager.
Romelu Lukaku’s Manchester United career hasn’t exactly gone to plan.
Despite making a somewhat promising start, Lukaku has fallen out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
Marcus Rashford was preferred for the final few months of the last campaign.
The Belgian even admitted recently that he dreams of a move to Serie A.
‘Playing in Serie A is a dream. It would really be a dream,’ he explained during an interview with Sky Italia’s Lords of Football.
‘I hope to be able to play sooner or later. Even if at the moment I am focused on United.’
Now, his dream move may be possible this summer.
Lukaku’s ‘dream move’ on the cards
That’s because, according to the Times’ Paul Hirst, Antonio Conte will make a move for Lukaku when he’s confirmed as the new Inter Milan boss.
According to the report, Conte expects to replace Luciano Spalletti as Inter Milan manager this summer.
Now, the Italian is planning his summer transfer window, and Lukaku is on his list of targets.
Hirst claims that ‘when he takes control, Conte will instruct Inter to bid for Lukaku, the out-of-favour Manchester United striker.’

Hirst also claims that Conte wanted to sign Lukaku for Chelsea before his move to Manchester United, though the Belgian opted for Old Trafford.
It might not be too hard to sign him either.
The report continues by claiming that ‘Lukaku believes he is not part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans and is willing to move to Inter.’
Meanwhile, Man United would not stand in his way if Inter met their £75 million valuation.
