“Crazy transfer market”
Antonio Conte has admitted that Nemanja Matic leaving Chelsea is a “great loss” after the Serbian moved to Manchester United a couple of weeks ago.
The Italian chose Monaco star Tiémoué Bakayoko as the players’ replacement for the outbound midfield star but still seems unhappy with his exit.
Matic moved to Old Trafford in a £40 million deal after working under Jose Mourinho at the club before he left the club and was replaced by Conte.
Conte has also admitted that the transfer market this season is extremely unexpected and claimed it was ‘crazy’.
Safe to say, he isn’t exactly wrong with Neymar’s move to PSG and Premier League saga’s such as Virgil van Dijk and Gylfi Sigurdsson.
With under three weeks remaining in the transfer window, there will certainly a few more shocks around the corner for Antonio.
Speaking on Matic, Conte explained: “Matic knows very well what I think about him.
“The importance for me about this player, who is a really good player, a top player, very important for our team.”
“But sometimes you must accept this crazy transfer market, and sometimes you must accept different decisions. But he is a great loss for us.”
“He is a great loss for us.”

Chelsea target Spurs star
With questions being raised over Chelsea’s commitment to Antonio Conte in the transfer market, they are set to move for a Spurs star.
Though, a deal could well prove extremely difficult with manager Mauricio Pochettino likely to rebuff any move for another one of their star men.
Kyle Walker has already left for title rivals Manchester City this summer and they would be unwilling to strengthen another competitor.
If Chelsea are seriously looking to compete next season they could well still move to strengthen their squad further.
