Tottenham’s nightmare international break

Has any Premier League side had more bad luck than Tottenham during the international break? It does not look like it at present.

First, after travelling to Argentina, it was revealed that Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero are set to spend 10 days in Croatia, and will miss Spurs’ clash with Crystal Palace this weekend:

This would be followed by Ryan Sessegnon picking up a knock whilst with England’s under-21s.

The left-back has since returned to north London for further assessment:

Then, it was confirmed that Heung-min Son would not play in South Korea’s last match of the break due to a calf issue, whilst Oliver Skipp picked up a potential groin injury on Tuesday evening, on duty with England’s under-21 side:

Spurs’ injury concerns do not stop there, however.

Steven Bergwijn would start in the Netherlands’ 6-1 hammering of Turkey on Tuesday evening.

And, after being subbed off, the winger was pictured icing his left ankle.

Injury analyst Ben Dinnery reports that the Dutchman will be assessed ahead of Tottenham’s meeting with Palace at the weekend:
