Slaven Bilic

West Ham’s Angelo Ogbonna has a hilarious excuse for liking Bilic Out on Instagram

West Ham are awful!

West Ham may well have produced the worst performance of the Premier League weekend in the first match on Friday night.

To say the Hammers were well beaten is an understatement as Brighton ran riot at the London Stadium.

As an ex-Spurs player Chris Hughton must have absolutely loved every second of the match!

Goals from Glenn Murray (2) and Jose Izquierdo did the damage for Brighton.

The Seagulls are now up to 12th in the Premier League table. West Ham are looking over their shoulders one spot above the relegation zone.

Will Slaven Bilic be sacked as West Ham boss?

Seemingly most games this season for West Ham have been a referendum on the future of Slaven Bilic.

The Croatian was lucky to see out last season and this campaign has hardly gone swimmingly.

Two London derbies are looming for West Ham this week, at Spurs and Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup and Premier League respectively.

West Ham do seem keen to sack Bilic but have a problem in that all their replacements (e.g. David Wagner and Rafa Benitez) are hugely unlikely to leave their clubs mid-season.

Angelo Ogbonna’s hilarious Instagram activity

Angelo Ogbonna was on the bench for West Ham against Brighton and did not come on.

After the game, Ogbonna’s activity on Instagram has caused a stir.

Ogbonna liked a comment from a West Ham fan that simply said: #BilicOut.

Angelo Ogbonna has a hilarious excuse

The Italian defender picked up on the social media furore and provided one of the best footballer excuses of all time.

And, in fairness to Ogbonna, it could well be true…

Ogbonna essentially blamed it on his young baby son…
