Andy Robertson sends message to Liverpool teammates after sitting out Nottingham Forest clash


 

Liverpool star Andy Robertson has taken to social media on Sunday evening, to send a good luck message to the rest of Jurgen Klopp's squad.

The Reds, of course, are locked in action at present.

After closing the gap on table-topping Manchester City to a solitary point in the Premier League during the week, Klopp and co. this evening turned their attentions towards matters in the FA Cup, eyeing a semi-final berth at the expense of Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

As things stand late in the first-half of action, though, Steve Cooper's hosts have stood tall, with the scoreline remaining locked at 0-0.

One individual, meanwhile, playing no part amid Liverpool's efforts to keep hopes of an unprecedented quadruple alive at the City Ground is the aforementioned Andy Robertson.

This comes with the Scot handed the night off, in a bid to secure some much-needed rest ahead of the international break.

'Robbo', though, nevertheless remains fully focused on the action in Nottingham, having taken to his official Instagram account ahead of kick-off to send a good luck message to his teammates:

Should Liverpool, in the end, emerge victorious from the City Ground on Sunday night, the Merseysiders will set up an altogether mouthwatering final four tie in just shy of a month's time.

Their potential opponents? Manchester City.

The FA Cup's semi-final draw was held a short time ago, with the two contenders for the Premier League title having been pitted against one another, alongside a London derby clash between Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
