Andreas Christensen & Chelsea
If last year was a breakout season for Andreas Christensen at Chelsea, this year had seen a major regression for the Danish defender.
Christensen, 22, was a regular starter for Antonio Conte.
He played 40 matches for Chelsea last term, and Christensen was voted Chelsea’s young player of the season.

However Maurizio Sarri has yet to start Christensen in a Premier League match this season.
Moreover, Christensen hasn’t even been brought off the bench by Sarri in a league game.
So far this year, Christensen has only made three appearances for the Blues.
He’s featured in Chelsea’s two Europa League matches and in the Carabao Cup.
Christensen confirms he’s unhappy Chelsea
Christensen is now away from Stamford Bridge on international duty with Denmark.
This week the defender has spoken to bold.dk about his struggles with the Blues this season:
It will be difficult for me to get into this Chelsea side while we play this good and get great results – as of now it is not a great season for me.
Christensen was asked about leaving the Blues. Is he targeting a switch in January? He replied:
I don’t know. I haven’t given it much thought.
Antonio Rudiger is injured
Sticking with Chelsea’s defenders, Antonio Rudiger is injured.
Rudiger has pulled out of the German squad with a groin injury.
I won't be available for the @dfb_team for the upcoming 2 matches due to a groin problem. I will do some individual training sessions during the int. break and I'm confident to be back soon👊🏾 Best of luck to my German teammates for the next 2 games 🇩🇪🙏🏾 #Hustle #AlwaysBelieve
