Ander Herrera ‘spat at Man City’ after United’s win

Spitting

Ander Herrera is a Manchester United fan favourite, and during the Manchester derby, where of course Manchester United performed an amazing comeback and saw off Manchester City in the second half three goals to two, the player seemed to spit on the Manchester City crest as he was walking down the tunnel.

Herrera spits on the ground, and while he may not have clocked the massive City badge on the floor, it was certainly quite to coincidence that his spit managed to hit the crest – and of course United fans loved it.

Ander Herrera seems to spit while walking down the tunnel at the Etihad during the Manchester derby and it hits the Man City badge.

Statement

By winning the game and coming back from three goals down, United certainly made a huge statement and while City might secure the title and finish a long way ahead of United, Mourinho’s men have a small bit of pride back and showed that City can be beaten – and that they can go out and attack sides.

Not to mention the fact they laid down a marker for next season – and managed to follow up beating Chelsea with another victory over a top side. In terms of City, the defeat might not impact their title haul domestically, but it will certainly show Liverpool away goals at the Etihad won’t be too hard to come by if they just go out to attack Guardiola’s men on Tuesday.

Future

Herrera’s future has come under a huge question this season, after being the go to man for Jose Mourinho last time out, it seems the midfielder could be on his way out of the club this summer and has been linked with a move away.

Mourinho is thought to be keen on getting rid of at least five or six players, and despite Herrera being loved by the fans and enjoying his time in Manchester, many people think he could be one of the players to leave in order to free up some cash within the wage budget and also space in the dressing room – and there won’t be a shortage of takers for the player if that does end up being the case.
