Herrera wants United stay
According to The Times, Ander Herrera is set to extend his contract with Manchester United.
Herrera’s current deal runs up until July of 2019, meaning the Spanaird could leave United on a free this summer.
He could also sing a pre-contract deal with a foreign club come January of 2019.
However, United and Herrera look to be edging closer to a new deal.
As per the report from The Times, United opened negotiations with Herrera about a new deal several months ago.
But talks were not going well with United not willing to offer much more than the Spaniard’s current wage of £75,000.
That has now seemingly changed with the 29-year-old midfielder looking keen to spend the rest of his career in Manchester.
Herrera has also spoken about wanting to stay with United:
“All the memories I have are amazing.
“I’ve been able to win trophies for the club. I have been able to play more than 160 games right now.
“So what I have in my mind is to go for the 200 games and keep adding games for the club. And for myself.”
Man United vs Fulham
Herrera has played 171 games for Man United, in which he has scored 18 and assisted 25.
The Spanaird also started Man United’s last game as they drew 2-2 with Arsenal.

Herrera would provide the assist for United’s first of the game.
United must now take on bottom of the league Fulham as they look to pick up their first win in five matches.
A win for Manchester United could see them move as high as 6th place.
While a win for Fulham could see them move out of the relegation zone.
