Mario Balotelli has found a new lease of life in France with Nice.
He finally put his Liverpool nightmare behind him last summer, and is reinventing and discovering himself at French club Nice.
After 2 years as a Liverpool player (one of which was spent on loan at Milan), Mario’s stock had nosedived to the point that it seemed no European club wanted him; damaged goods.
Just a couple of years previous, it seemed like Balotelli had the world at his feet.
But for a multitude of reasons – poor attitude, lack of faith from managers, a social media addiction – things never worked out for him at Liverpool.
He managed just one league goal for the Reds in his active season there, and spent most of his time either injured or on the bench.
He’s already managed 10 league goals in 16 appearances for Nice, but while he’s largely put the madness behind him, we caught another glimpse of Mad Mario yesterday.
Misses start due to laces
No stranger to sartorial problems (he’s had issues with bibs in the past), Balo ended up missing the first two minutes of Nice’s game against Nantes yesterday because he couldn’t sort his laces out.
Never change, Mario.
