Alvaro Morata opens himself up to Chelsea or Man United (Video)

Alvaro Morata’s future

Saturday was a day full of rumours linking Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata with Man United.

During the build up to the Champions League final in Cardiff between Real Madrid and Juventus, Spanish radio station Cope caught an interview with the dad of Los Blancos star Alvaro Morata.

Alfonso Morata talked about his son’s future, and the following back and forward took place.

Question: Are Man United the only club that has asked for Morata?

Answer: You are great journalists.

While Morata’s dad was obviously as vague as possible, that’s been taken as confirmation that Man United have been in contact about a possible summer move.

Chelsea or Man United?

After Madrid beat Juventus in the Champions League final, Morata was asked about his future.

Reports in Italy have claimed he’s virtually a done deal to move to AC Milan this summer.

Morata, however, rejected those claims saying:

I don’t know anything about Milan [interest]. I read these things in the papers but don’t know anything about them.

He also claimed he wants to stay at Real Madrid, adding “I certainly won’t be in Italy”.

So does that open the door for Chelsea or Man United to step in?
