Alvaro Morata contacted Sergio Ramos after Real Madrid drew with Spurs

Upturn in fortunes

Alvaro Morata reached out to Sergio Ramos following Real Madrid’s draw with Tottenham Hotspur, and told the Real skipper that things will get better soon.

Since his departure, Real have struggled and are off the pace in La Liga, with Barcelona leading the way.

However, Morata still has faith in his old side – and plenty of friends there, as Diario Gol report he wanted to get in contact with Ramos and pass on his best wishes – and reassuring them Real would still top their Champions League group.

Mistake to sell

One player who made it clear he thought Real Madrid had made a mistake selling the forward was Cristiano Ronaldo, who was a huge fan of his, and who wanted to keep Morata at Real.

Now, Ronaldo has demanded the club buy another forward to help out Karim Benzema and told Zidane that Mayoral is in no way good enough.

It’s looking like a mistake to sell Morata, with Real Madrid struggling and Morata settling into life in England well – injury aside of course.

When he joined the Blues, Morata said:

“I need to make an explosion in my career and I am at the perfect place, the perfect club to do that.

“I have all the things I need and if I can work hard, I can make good things happen. I have very big motivation, I always think like a winner and I want to win everything it is possible to win.

“Last season the team won the Premier League and now we can try to win it again, and maybe the Champions League. ‘It is the perfect situation. I decided to play in the Premier League and I want to play in Antonio’s team. Now I need to work hard, score goals and play well for the team.”
