Brazil vs Argentina
Brazil took on Argentina on Tuesday evening in a highly anticipated clash.
The game would also take place in the Jeddah, Saudi Arabia inside the King Abdullah Stadium.
The match-up of Argentina and Brazil has always provided a solid game of football.
However, this particular Superclásico did not get off to the best start.
Neither side started the game very well and very few chances were created.
The second half would provide much of the same.
That was until injury time when Miranda connected with Neymar’s corner and gave Brazil a 1-0 victory.
While the game did start off slowly and the first-half did not exactly make for great viewing, one particular incident did stand out.
That incident involved Liverpool and Brazil goalkeeper, Alisson.
Alisson signed for Liverpool from Italian outfit Roma this past summer.
While the Brazilian has been a solid shot-stopper for Liverpool, his work with his feet has raised some red flags.
The biggest instance of this was when Liverpool took on Leicester City in the Premier League.
Alisson would fail to clear the ball inside his penalty area and instead tried some sort of skill to get past Leicester’s Kelechi Iheanacho.
But Iheanacho would disposes Alisson and play it to Rachid Ghezzal who made it 2-1.
While Liverpool fans will have hoped Alisson would have learnt from his mistake, it does not appear he has.
This is because halfway through Brazil’s game vs Argentina, Alisson was once again nearly caught out thanks to his poor footwork.
Miranda would play a simple pass back to Alisson and instead of clearing it, Alisson once again nearly gave away a goal.

Luckily for Brazil, nothing came of his mistake.
Manchester City fans will also not have been too impressed with tonight’s game.
This is because during the game with Argentina, Manchester City’s Danilo was taken off with an injury in the 53rd minute.
The extent of the full-backs injury is unknown; however, he is unlikely to be fit for City’s game this weekend.

Here is how some fans reacted on Twitter to Alisson’s mistake.
Liverpool fans look away. Alisson tries to gift Argentina the opener, letting the ball run past him near his own goal-line… Correa nearly pounces.

Alisson almost giving the ball away right in front of goal for Brazil…one time is too many for that

O Alisson é um goleiro que não me convence. Além de não defender muito bem, de novo quis dominar a bola com os pés e quase sofre uma roubada possivelmente seguida de gol, igual fez Liverpool. Parece que não aprendeu.

So close from Angel Correa to tackling Alisson. The Brazil keeper just managed to get rid of the ball
