Sanchez, Arsenal’s main man
There’s been a lot of noise around Alexis Sanchez of late; his contract situation is the elephant in the Arsenal room this season.
The Chilean has been Arsenal’s best player this season, and their top 4 hopes rest largely on his shoulders.
But his contract situation is becoming a big distraction, and Gooners are starting to fret that they could lose their best player unless the club’s hierarchy meets his wage demands.
Like Mesut Ozil, Sanchez’s current deal runs out at the end of next season, but Arsenal fans are much more worried about their Chilean start than their German one.
And given how poor the rest of the team has been performing of late, Arsenal fans are more reliant on the Chilean than ever.
So there’s a bit of a drama developing over his ankle injury, now that’s he away on international duty.
Set to play despite injury
But despite fears that he’d done ligament damage, it looks like Sanchez is set to play in Chile’s upcoming World Cup qualifier against Argentina.
Judging by his Instagram update, he’ll be playing: ‘The only failure is not trying.’
