Alexis Sanchez craves big signings for Man United

Man United need big signings

Alexis Sanchez has called on Man United to sign big names and provide their manager with the chance to take on the best teams in the world.

He noted that Barcelona signing Arturo Vidal is a great example of the type of move United should be making – yet aren’t doing so in the window.

It’s been a source of frustration for Jose Mourinho, and it seems Alexis feels the same way.

“At United we have to sign big players, with experience,” Sanchez told Sky Sports.

“Barcelona just signed Arturo Vidal, who is a great player and my team-mate from Chile.

“He is an example of the type of players we need to sign in order to win trophies and compete at the highest level.

“From what I’ve seen in training, Fred is a player who always wants to get forward, he is always trying to get forward and from a personal point of view I think we’ll be able to combine well and it will be good for my game.”

More required from Alexis Sanchez

One thing that even Alexis himself will admit is that his second season at the club has to be far better than the one last time out.

He needs to make sure that he not only rediscovers the form that made Jose Mourinho so convinced he should sign him from Arsenal, but also to get back to the stage where he’s enjoying his football once again.

A move from another team – even from the same league – half way through a season, and a change in manager and environment can be hard, and it seems that while that was the case for Alexis last time out, it won’t be this season.
