Alexandre Lacazette: Final, then future
The London Evening Standard have published an exclusive interview with Alexandre Lacazette on the eve of the Europa League final.
Arsenal take on Chelsea in Baku on Wednesday night.
If the Gunners win, they’ll play Champions League football next year. Lose, and it’s Thursday nights in the Europa League all over again.
Lacazette has discussed whether he’ll still be an Arsenal player next year. He said:
For me, I just think about the final, then after we will see with the club.
If the club is really happy with me and I’m happy, I will stay. In France, they say 27, 28 is one of the best ages in your career.
I wish it is not the last [good season] at Arsenal and I hope I will be better and better in the next years.
🗣️ “I want thank to Wenger for bringing me to this big club, but I feel better with Emery.”
Lacazette addresses *those* Barcelona links, his time with Arsenal so far and the #UELfinal.

Links to Barcelona
In recent weeks, rumours have popped up linking Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette with a summer move to Barcelona.
Barcelona are reportedly planning a £70m summer move for Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette.

Interestingly, Lacazette also addressed the Barcelona transfer rumours after Arsenal booked their spot in the final courtesy of a 4-2 victory over Valencia at the Mestalla.
French broadcaster Telefoot asked Lacazette about the Camp Nou switch stories.
Rather than dodging the topic, Lacazette admitted that “it’s flattering” to be linked with Barcelona.

Lacazette vs Chelsea
Lacazette is expected to be in the Arsenal attack for the Europa League final against Chelsea.
The French striker previously scored against the Blues in a 2-0 home win in the Premier League back in January.
