Alexandre Lacazette & Kieran Tierney: Arsenal early team news before Aston Villa

Arsenal fixtures: Eintracht Frankfurt & Aston Villa

The Gunners have two matches in four days.

On Thursday, Arsenal travel to face German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League.

Unai Emery’s charges then host Aston Villa on Sunday in the Premier League.

Alexandre Lacazette injury update

Ahead of the Eintracht Frankfurt and Aston Villa matches, Arsenal have confirmed four pieces of injury news on Wednesday.

Starting with their attack, Alexandre Lacazette is still a while away from returning to action. Fans have been told the following on the club website:

Left ankle. Alex continues to rehabilitate the injury to his left ankle and is likely to be back in action in October.

In Lacazette’s absence, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will continue to operate in a central role, with the likes of Nicolas Pepe in support.

Kieran Tierney & Hector Bellerin

Arsenal have been unable to field their first choice full-backs this season.

Hector Bellerin is yet to feature after a long-term injury, while summer signing Kieran Tierney is still on the comeback trail after a hernia operation in the summer.

However, both Bellerin and Tierney could soon return to action.

Arsenal have confirmed that the Spanish and Scottish defenders are now in first-team training.
