Alberto Moreno’s incredible sacrifice to play in Liverpool win over Southampton

Liverpool 3 – Southampton 0

Liverpool continued where they had left off before the international break and produced a fine 3-0 win over Southampton at Anfield.

Despite signing many of their best players, this was Liverpool’s first win over Southampton in five attempts.

Mohamed Salah was once again the star man for Liverpool and is turning into the definite signing of the season.

Mohamed Salah stars again!

Alberto Moreno: An unsung hero this season

One of the unsung heroes for Liverpool this season has been Alberto Moreno.

The Spaniard suffered a poor campaign last time out as Moreno was dropped for James Milner, not even a natural left back.

Moreno has discussed how he was jettisoned by Klopp but has been restored as first choice left back this season, and is playing very well.

Liverpool fans should love Alberto Moreno even more now!

In Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Southampton, Moreno played the full 90 minutes, after the game Jurgen Klopp explained how the Spaniard had put off a life changing moment to play for the club.

Klopp said: “Congratulations to Alberto and his missus. He became a father overnight – 2:30am. Alberto Moreno Junior.  Alberto wasn’t there – he was in the hotel!”

As it stands, Moreno has not updated his Instagram account to show that he has a new son.

With getting back into the Spain squad as well, it has been a busy few days for Moreno!
