Ajax star David Neres ‘promised’ summer exit with Everton and PSG linked

Is David Neres set to leave Ajax this summer?

Ajax star David Neres has reportedly been promised a summer exit by Marc Overmars with both Everton and Paris Saint-Germain interested.

Neres has well and truly burst onto the scene this campaign.

The Brazilian winger has been impressive both in the Eredivisie and the Champions League.

So far in the league, Neres has scored eight goals and assisted 11.

Not only that, he’s been pivotal in Ajax’s run to the Champions League final.

He scored one of Ajax’s goals against Real Madrid in the impressive win at the Bernabeu as well as a stunning strike against Juventus.

As a result of his performances, Neres could reportedly leave Ajax this summer.

Everton have been previously linked with a move but now there are suggestions that Neres has been promised an Ajax exit this summer.

Where will Neres end up?

That is according to Brazilian outlet UOL.

They claim that Ajax director of football Marc Overmars has promised Neres can leave the club if they receive an ‘interesting offer.’

UOL go on to claim that Neres would not be sold for less than 50 million euros, which will likely be enough to convince Ajax to sell.

After that, the report then names Everton, AC Milan and PSG as Neres’ suitors.

However, previous reports have also suggested that Arsenal are interested in signing the player.

Safe to say, with the Brazilian’s performances this season and the fact he’s only 22 years old, 50 million euros could prove to be an expensive bargain for any team willing to take the plunge this summer.
