Jakub Jankto’s agent has this afternoon confirmed that both Arsenal and AC Milan are ‘eligible teams’ in the race for the highly-regarded Udinese midfielder’s signature.
Jankto, a 22-year-old Czech international, has been on the books of Udinese since 2015, when he joined the club from fellow Italian outfit Ascoli for a measly £900,000.
And the last two seasons have seen Jankto begin to showcase his full potential, with his all-action performances in the middle of the park at the Stadio Friuli having alerted some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
To this point in the current campaign, Jankto has racked up 5 goals and 4 assists across all competitions for Udinese.
Of the sides linked with moves for the 10-time capped Czech international, AC Milan, Juventus and Arsenal have been touted as the most realistic destinations for Jankto, with the midfielder’s agent having confirmed the interest of two of these sides this afternoon.
When questioned on rumours that both Arsenal and Milan are eyeing summer moves for his client, Giuseppe Riso revealed during an interview with RMC Sport:
‘They are eligible teams.’
‘Jankto is an important profile, we decided with the Pozzos not to talk about it in January to let him grow and mature.’
‘Milan and Arsenal are attentive to youngsters, we’ll definitely talk with them.’
