Adama Traore reportedly close to agreeing new four-year deal with Wolves

Traore’s Wolves stint
Wolves secured Adama Traore’s services from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2018 for a then club-record fee of £18m.
At the time, given Traore’s previous struggles in the English top-flight, this fee may have appeared a tad over the top.
However, the Spaniard, who was previously devoid of any sort of end product to match his blistering pace and quick feet, steadily improved during his time in the Championship.
The La Masia youth product had struggled to develop under a number of managers at Middlesbrough, including Aitor Karanka and Garry Monk.
But, in what looked set to prove a complete mismatch at the time, Traore actually began to shine under Tony Pulis.
The 24-year-old has since continued to develop under the guidance of Nuno Espirito Santo, transforming into one of the most feared wingers in the Premier League.
All told, Traore notched four goals and nine assists in the top-flight last term.
The Spaniard is yet to register an assist so far in 2020/21, but his ability to terrorise defences has certainly not diminished.

Traore set for new deal
As a result, news that the winger is reportedly set to extend his Wolves contract will no doubt comes as music to the ears of the club’s fanbase.
The 24-year-old is currently tied down at Molineux until the summer of 2023.
However, as per a recent report from the Sun, he is now close to signing a new four-year contract.
The deal is expected to see the former Barcelona youth earn over £100,000-per-week.
Leeds vs Wolves
Traore’s next appearances for Wolves will likely come on Monday evening.
Nuno Santo and co. are set to face off with newly-promoted Leeds United at Elland Road.
