According to a report from Tuttosport, Serie A powerhouse AC Milan are considering bringing in both Fiorentina’s Nikola Kalinic and Kasper Dolberg of Ajax over the coming weeks.
Rebuilding Italian giants Milan have already brought ten new players to the San Siro this summer, with the likes of Hakan Calhanoglu, Leonardo Bonucci, Andre Silva and Franck Kessie having arrived.
However, the one position that the Rossoneri have yet to fill to their liking is centre-forward.
Vincenzo Montella’s outfit are known to maintain an interest in both Andrea Belotti of Torino and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, though deals for either have been extremely difficult to find.
As a result, Tuttosport have this evening suggested that Milan could use their striker budget, thought to be somewhere in the region of 70 million Euro, to secure deals for two cheaper options.
The first of the names linked is long-time target Nikola Kalinic of Fiorentina.
Croatian international Kalinic enjoyed a stellar campaign with the Viola last season and is thought to hold a price-tag of 25-30 million Euro.
If the Diavolo can indeed secure a deal for Kalinic, which is widely expected, then that will still leave a significant portion of the club’s budget to utilise on further attacking reinforcements.
And the 7-time Champions League winners reportedly intend to spend the remaining 35-40 million Euro on Ajax sensation Kasper Dolberg.
Likened by many to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Danish youngster Dolberg enjoyed a breakout campaign in Holland last season, racking up 22 goals and 7 assists across all competitions.
The 19-year-old has also been linked with Barcelona, though Milan are confident of securing a deal if they can complete a move for Kalinic in the meantime.
