AC Milan targeting Origi and Sturridge
According to Italian outlet La Gazette dello Sport, AC Milan are said to be targeting the Liverpool duo of Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi.
AC Milan were said to be keen on bringing Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to the San Siro from LA Galaxy.
However, the Mirror is reporting that deal no longer looks likely to happen, hence Milan’s interest in the Liverpool duo.
Milan are also said to be interested in forgotten Tottenham forward, Vincent Jansson.
Origi & Sturridge’s time at Liverpool
Given their lack of regular first-team football, both Origi and Sturridge may be open to a move to AC Milan.
Sturridge has made nine Premier League appearances for Liverpool this season, in which he has scored two, including a later equaliser vs Chelsea.
However, only two of those nine appearances saw Sturridge start the game.
As for Origi, the Belgian spent the 2017/18 season out on loan in Germany with Wolfsburg.
Since returning to Anfield Origi had made just two Premier League appearances.
The first of which saw him come off the bench vs Everton to score a 96th-minute winner.
The second was as a starter in Liverpool’s last game vs Burnley.
However, the starting eleven vs Burnley was a heavily rotated squad with Origi once again left on the bench as Liverpool took on Bournemouth on Saturday.

With neither Origi nor Sturridge looking likely to displace Roberto Firmino as the Reds main striker, one or perhaps both could indeed move to Italy.
