Musacchio was the subject of much transfer interest last summer with reports that Barcelona and Manchester City were interested in his signature. This time around, Milan were in the clear to sign the 26-year-old.
After helping the Yellow Submarines to a sixth-place finish in La Liga, he became the first signing of the Rossoneri’s new ownership group. Could this be the start of a new era for one of Europe’s most prestigious sides?
Dawn of a revival?
Musacchio could be the first of many big-name signings to arrive at Milan.
They’re linked with both Andrea Belotti and Alvaro Morata with the latter player said to prefer Milan over United. Atalanta’s highly-rated Franck Kessie is also said to be very close to completing a switch to the San Siro.
Milan will play European football for the first time in several seasons next year in the Europa League.
