Milan spend big
AC Milan have been tearing it up in this transfer window. Their splurge has been the biggest ever by an Italian club in a single window. As well as bringing in Leonardo Bonucci, they’ve signed Kessie, Silva, Conti and Calhanoglu.
It’s not over yet either. The revived Serie A giants, backed by money from their Chinese takeover, want to bring in a world class forward with both Andrea Belotti and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being mooted.
Reports broke in Portugal today about interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches.
Record newspaper claim that the Rossoneri want to take him on a two-year loan for €7m with an option to buy Sanches in 2019 for an additional €40m. It would be a very good deal for a player with a lot of potential.
Although Sanches flopped in his first season at Bayern – failing to get a goal or assist from 25 appearances – he was so impressive in the previous season that the German giants spent an initial €35m on him.
That fee could rise to €80m if Sanches meets the bonuses included. One was for €20m if he was short-listed for the Ballon d’Or. Still only 19-years-old, the Euro 2016 winner won’t turn 20 until next month.
