Ramsay banned for Portugal match
Football can be cruel. It’s good to Wales right now though. They’re in their first ever semi-final at a major tournament after beating Belgium 3-1. However, star midfielder Aaron Ramsey will miss that game through suspension. Remember we said it could be cruel?
He only picked up two yellow cards in five matches. Five matches is far too big a window in a tournament with so much at stake. Wales had never qualified for a European Championship before. They mightn’t qualify again for a while. Who knows what the future holds.
Wales Golden Generation
Mind you, they look good. They’re not only a pretty team either, they’ve got steel. They came from behind to earn a clear win over their highly-tipped opponents. A golden generation, they’ve called them. But really this Wales side is the true golden generation.
Gareth Bale gets more headlines but Ramsey is a driving force. He’s been involved in more goals than any other player in the Euros and has provided more assists in this competition than he did in the Premier League last season.
Ben Davies will also miss the match through suspension. Read tweets on their bans below.
Wales will need a performance from whoever replaces Ramsey next game. Missing players could prove fatal but they’ll fight to the death.

Aaron Ramsey: Has registered as many assists in five Euro 2016 matches as he managed in 31 Premier League apps for Arsenal last season (4)

ESPN say Gareth Bale is the Welsh Dragon. Then that would make Aaron Ramsey…Daenerys Targaryen.
Finally his hairdo explained.

Portugal haven’t won a game at this tournament. Got to really fancy Wales. I know the Ramsey suspension is big but they can do it! #believe

Harsh on Davies and Ramsey though. Very trigger happy ref tonight and now they miss the biggest game of their lives. #WALBEL

Banter that we all laughed at Ramsey’s blonde hair not realising that he turned Super Saiyan.

Aaron Ramsey might be inconsistent for Arsenal, but he’s been pivotal in Wales’ success this tournament. Phenomenal once again tonight.
