As per a report from Adam Leventhal of the Athletic, Watford could yet bid farewell to a trio of players before the European transfer window closes tomorrow.
Newcastle 1-1 Watford
Javi Gracia’s men travelled to St. James’ Park yesterday afternoon, hoping to put the club’s early season woes firmly behind them.
Watford headed into proceedings as the only outfit in the Premier League yet to secure a single point this season.
When all was said and done on Tyneside, the Hornets did manage to get on the board, albeit in somewhat underwhelming fashion.
The visitors got off to the perfect start at St. James’, taking the lead with just over a minute on the clock to calm the nerves of the travelling support.
1:18 – After one minute and 18 seconds, Will Hughes’ opener for Watford is the Hornets’ second fastest ever goal in the Premier League, after Etienne Capoue scored after 32 seconds versus Leicester in November 2016. Blocks.

In the end, however, Watford couldn’t hold out to keep an all-important clean sheet.
Fabian Schar’s equaliser shortly before the interval eventually proved decisive, as both sides were forced to make do with a point.
As such, as things stand, Watford sit rock bottom of the Premier League table, 2 points adrift of all of Wolves (currently in action), Aston Villa and Norwich.
Javi Gracia, though, is nevertheless seemingly keen to reduce the options at his disposal moving forward, by parting with a number of players before tomorrow’s European transfer deadline.
As per the aforementioned report from Adam Leventhal of the Athletic, Stefano Okaka is expected to depart Vicarage Road imminently. Both Tom Dele-Bashiru and Sebastian Prodl, meanwhile, could well follow suit:
#WatfordFC transfer update
Expecting Okaka to complete move out in next 24 hours before Euro deadline tomorrow
Dele-Bashiru also potentially going on loan
Prodl another possible outgoing
