2018 Golden Boy list: Liverpool, Man United & Man City stars battle Kylian Mbappe

2018 Golden Boy list

It’s that time of year again! Italian news outlet Tuttosport have announced the 100 best young players for their annual Golden Boy award.

Tuttosport announce the 25 best Under-21 players every year towards the end of September and have the public vote on who they think is the best young talent.

This is the 16th edition of the Golden Boy award and Tuttosport big it up as the “young Ballon d’Or.”

PSG’s Kylian Mbappe the favourite

Will Kylian Mbappe win the award for a second season in a row?

The 19-year-old PSG and French international striker won the Golden Boy trophy 12 months ago.

And after PSG won the domestic treble last season, and after Mbappe became the first teenager to score a brace at a World Cup since Pele, many will consider Mbappe to be the frontrunner for the award in 2018.

Liverpool, Man United & Man City stars

But could Mbappe lose his title to a Premier League based player instead?

All of the top teams in England have players in the Tuttosport 100 list.

Liverpool, Man United and Man City are the best represented teams from England.

Missing out

In something of a shock, Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon was left off of the list.

Young Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster has also been overlooked by Tuttosport.

Others players omitted included Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior and Juve’s Moise Kean.
