Are champions New York City FC back on track?

Last weekend, goals from Gabriel Pereira and then Santiago Rodríguez saw NYCFC beat Chicago Fire 2-0 at Solider Field.

This was their first victory since star man Valentín Castellanos had left for Girona, with Nick Cushing’s team actually losing three successive matches beforehand.

Nevertheless, NYCFC remain third in the Eastern Conference, looking to leap above CF Montréal into second.

Orlando City meanwhile are just two places but nine points lower in the table.

The Lions come into this one following back-to-back away wins, first 1-0 at New York Red Bulls and then 2-1 at Charlotte FC Last weekend.

Ercan Kara and then Tesho Akindele, the latter coming in the final minute, on target at Bank of America Stadium.

This means Orlando have taken 21 points on the road this season, the most they’ve ever collected in a single season, with four away games still to go.

Back at Exploria Stadium, who will win the 2015 expansion club derby?
