Match preview

After two victories on the road to start 2022, will New York Red Bulls' 100% start continue as they return to Harrison for the first time this season?

To kick off the campaign, Gerhard Struber's side hammered San Jose Earthquakes in California.

Then, last weekend, they enjoyed an even more impressive road victory, this time beating Toronto FC 4-1 at BMO Field.

All five goals came in the first half with Lewis Morgan bagging a hat-trick while Aaron Long scored a header, just his tenth goal in 142 appearance for the club.

So, at this very early point of the campaign, the Red Bulls are top of the Eastern Conference, last finishing there in 2018.

Will NYRB's perfect start continue?

Minnesota United meanwhile come into this cross-conference affair also unbeaten but with two 1-1 draws to their name.

The Loons were involved in the first game of the entire season, drawing with Philadelphia Union in Pennsylvania thanks to Robin Lod's opener.

Then, last weekend, Hassani Dotson was the scorer as Minnesota came from behind to take a point from Nashville at Allianz Field.

All in all, that's an adequate start for Adrian Heath's team but he'll be hoping for all three point this time round.

Will there be a winner at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey?
