New England Revolution vs Philadelphia Union betting tips: Major League Soccer preview, predictions and odds

New England are unbeaten in four meetings with Philadelphia, winning three of these. The Union last won in Foxborough in 2020 and have won six of 15 visits to Boston overall.

Both teams to score is 7/10.

Philadelphia Union to win and both teams to score is 11/2.

Adam Buksa has scored in six consecutive MLS matches, needing to net here to match the Revs' MLS record, held by Wolde Harris. He is 9/2 to break the deadlock and 11/8 to achieve this.

Dániel Gazdag has scored seven times so far this season for the Union. He is 10/1 to open the scoring and 10/3 to add to this tally.

Match preview

Last season's Supporters' Shield winners take on the current Eastern Conference leaders in Foxborough.

Philadelphia Union kick off a whopping eight places and nine points above their hosts, so will travel north to Boston confident of victory.

Jim Curtin's men beat Portland Timbers 2-0 at Providence Park last weekend, thanks to Dániel Gazdag's opener and then Sérgio Santos' header.

Andre Blake was the hero though, pulling off a string of saves to preserve the points.

This was Philly's first win since 9 April against Columbus having drawn four in a row before this.

As a result, Jim Curtin's men are targeting back-to-back wins for the first time in almost two months, looking to cling on the east's summit.

New England Revolution meanwhile recorded a record-breaking 73 points last season, but are currently languishing down in ninth.

Although, Bruce Arena's side have accumulated 11 points from the last 18 available, following last weekend's dramatic 3-2 victory at FC Cincinnati.

Sebastian Lletget and red-hot Adam Buksa on target at TQL Stadium, but they still needed a stunning late strike from Tommy McNamara to snatch the win.

However, the Revs could not then carry their new-found form into the U.S. Open Cup.

On Wednesday night, they faced New York City FC at Belson Stadium, and were narrowly beaten 1-0 after extra time.

Playing 120 minutes in Queens in midweek, with nothing to show for their efforts, will certainly have taken a lot out of New England.

Thus, Philadelphia Union, who've had a free week, will look to capitalise at Gillette Stadium.
